Thumblings are one of those. They are very strange and little creatures that, as rumors say, can help you in your daily duties if you will be worthy.

to play at Green Thumb all you need is:- one six-sided die (d6)
- one ten-sided die (d10) [in the full game]
- game sheets (not included in this version)
- a piece of paper or a notebookThe rules of the game often ask you to tell what happens, in that case you can decide to play taking all the necessary notes and avoid this journaling mechanics or you can let your immagination run free and making an actual logbook, where you can write and draw everything you want and can be used like a book of memories. It's all up to you. This website is set to guide you during this beta playtest experience, but the main rule of Green Thumb is to play in the way that most amuses and inspires you.Time in Green Thumb runs different. There are five days in a week, only two weeks in a season but, as the real world, there are four season in a year, each with its specific crops and weather event. Crops and weather follow different rules as season changes. At the end of every season there will be a big request from Cedar Town to help celebrate time passing by and community events, like the Campfire night. If you complete that request you will be well rewarded.Everyday you have a limitated numeber of action that will be called Vigor, and you can freely decide how to spend them.
You start with 10 Vigor Points (VP) per day but this number can be increase or decrease by some event.
The actions to choose from are, in order:1. check the Daily Weather
2. take care of the customers
3. harvest the crops
4. water the crops
5. go to Cedar Town
6. summon a Thumblinggenerally, you have to decrease your vigor points by 1 for each action you decide to do, unless otherwise specified. When you runs out of VP, the day ends. Make a mark on the calendar and go to get some rest.Check the Daily Weather, trade with your customers, harvest and sell your crops, relax and go to shopping at Cedar Town and plan your strategy to menage your business in the best possible way!

This is the Daily Weather, the best weather report in town. Check this before starting your day. In this beta you only have access a limited weather events. Roll a d6 and compare the number with the relative table to know if:
it's rainy or sunny: the water requirement of every crops decrease or increase by 1 respectivelythere are mold or pests: you have to determinate which crops are inflicted by mold and pests. If you don't have insecticide or anti-mold, roll a d6 three times and see the crops identification number in the relative section, those it will be no possbile to harvest for that day.
Customers
In this beta you have access to a reduced numeber of customers but don't be afraid, more awaits you in the full game when it will be released. After checking for the Daily Weather report you have to determinate the customers of the day. You can take care of maximum of three customers every day. Roll a d6 twice, one for the costumer and one for the order, and compare the result with the relative table (do not decrease VP from doing this)
Crops and harvest
It's time to get your hands dirty, farmer! Now you have to harvest the right crops to meet the orders of your daily customers. Every crop has two numbers, the first is the identification number and it is use especially to determinate the demaged crop from the weather event, the second one represents the water requirement of the crop to harvest it. Everytime you try to harvest a crop:1. decrease your VP by 1
2. roll a d6if the numeber is equal o greater than the water requirement of the crop you can havest it, otherwise you have to try again, so decrease your VP by 1 and roll a d6.After you has collected the right amount and the right crops you can sell them to the customer and gain the coins.Everytime you want you can spend some PV to water your crops. Watering crops allows you to collect double crops. This effect ends at the end of the day.
Thumblings
Rumors have been swirling throughout the county since the dawn of time.Small creatures know as Thumblings are said to prowl the undergrowth and help farmers who request their help. Every species of this little folk has a unique way to be summoned and they give their help only if the ritual goes right and farmer are worthy. It is not yet known how many species of Thumblings are there but, certainly, all the knowledge about them is preserved in the local library of Cedar Town. Go there, and Oswald will be more than happy to talk to you about it, with a steaming cup of tea!
